The Australian R&B artist performed renditions from his most recent EP "Conversations" for an epic performance at Brooklyn's Baby's All Right.
If you don't know him yet, Australian singer-songwriter Budjerah is an artist that definitely deserves a spot in your favorite playlists. At twenty years old, he's adopted a mature and insightful approach to songwriting that is unique to his artistry. Raised in coastal New South Wales, Budjerah is introducing a new, refreshing sound that he pairs with soulful vocals. Without a doubt, he sits high on our new artists to watch list.
Recently, Budjerah was listed as one of NME’s emerging artists of 2022 and he was the winner of the 2021 ARIA Breakthrough Artist Award (Australia’s GRAMMY Awards). He is currently a part of YouTube’s Black Voices Class of 2022 and was featured as an Apple Music Up Next artist.
On June 6th, Budjerah performed in Brooklyn as part of his current tour. For his performance at Baby's All Right, Budjerah delivered intimate renditions from his EP Conversations, which gives listeners a darker, sleeker sound, that reflects both his current personal and artistic journey.
"These songs speak about the last year – about me figuring out what’s important,” Budjerah says.
The six-track EP features previously released singles “Talk” featuring MAY-A, and “Wash My Sorrows Away.” We were fortunate to witness the magic of Budjerah before he heads overseas to continue his tour, stopping in Australia and the UK. You can purchase tickets to his tour here.
